Yes, we've moved!! Ok, to be honest, its not all that, but after so long without a proper desk, phone, drawers, cupboards, power points and network points it feels just great. I have 4 power points to myself! 2 or maybe even 3 network points! 3 drawers that open! With a lock! You see, its the little things that count
Although I have to say its in a right arse of a place - on the ground floor of the office block, but due to the bizarre nature of the building, to get there from reception, you have to go up to the second floor, then along a bit, then down another set of staircases back to the ground floor and then along a bit. Odd, to say the least. Oh, and thanks to a misplaced generator (2 fucking stories worth of generator) outside the window, we still don't get any natural light.
It also has a fire escape which we thought would be great in the hot weather - let some air in, nip out for frequent fag breaks - until security cruised past and stopped all that malarky right there and then. I have to say, why the fuck can't we have it open?
Still, at the end of the day, I have my own desk. Now all I need to do is get my hands on one of these new laptops and all will be good. Well, it won't all be bad anyway.
